I replaced my old Phillips HD4646 with it, which I was happy with for over 10 years. That's why I wanted Philips again. The HD9318 is probably ok for the price, I could see having it as a student on campus - it's lightweight, so moving twice a year is fine, or having it at the cottage for occasional use. For regular home use, though, I would probably choose a different product. I won't be returning it, but I wouldn't buy it again.

Simply Philips, everything is as it should be, I recommend it.
The kettle cooks relatively quickly and, most importantly, quietly.
Ergonomically great long handle to balance the kettle while pouring.
The spout directs the water well, no water around the cup.
You can't refill the water with the spout, only by opening the lid, but that's very easy.
