I was looking for a fountain that would be quiet with a large volume of water. I've never had better in my life. However, I would say it is more for either big cats or dogs. Our Sphynx had a hard time drinking from it as she is smaller in stature. So unfortunately we had to return it, however I am buying a smaller Fountain Mini from the same brand.
