I applied the glue to a strip of about 3cm around the tree stake and on the stump where the ants were marching. After two days, the glue melted into a spot about 15 cm wide and stopped working. Great for the greenhouse maybe, totally unsuitable for outdoor use. Too bad, I wanted to avoid the chemical destruction of ants and aphids.
Cannot withstand outdoor environment

It's harder to squeeze out of the tube, it's stiffer. But don't be fooled, just make a thin caterpillar around the trunk of the tree and it will then gel a bit, forming an approximately 5 to 20cm wide sticky strip. The bastard ants know this and don't climb the tree, but other insects like to catch on.
It works

Very effective adhesive, keeps even the biggest insects out
Unfortunately, it is forbidden to use the glue for purposes other than the instructions
