I can only recommend the protective glass. Panzer glass slides are the market leader. It's definitely worth the extra cost. I was surprised myself how the protection against blue light works, moreover, the color rendering is still the same (the glass is not somehow yellowed, which was important for me as a photographer). Unfortunately, there are many times when you need to deal with something until the night, so protection against blue light is probably not a bad thing.
