You just need to tuck the wires more into the headlight, because behind the bulb in the place with active cooling, a fairly large connector would not hang. But then it dawned on me that the manual also shows for my type of headlight that the connector should be connected first and then hidden in the headlight before the bulb is installed and clicked in. Besides this, it is as easy as replacing a classic halogen bulb. I've already been to the MOT test and apart from a minor adjustment everything else is fine.

The Ford Mondeo mkV can finally be driven at night. I don't know how I survived without it.
I recommend replacing the halogens with LEDs, it really makes them more visible.
The light should be more yellow so it doesn't glare. 6000K is too white.
