Rust: you can't simply buy this pan, unwrap it and cook with it. You have to season it 3-4 times; search online for the initial process. Afterwards, make sure to cook fat in it, don't overheat it without adding fat, don't wash it in the dishwasher. Washing: do not ever put it in the dishwasher. Don't use metal sponges. Don't use strong detergents. All will ruin the non-stick seasoning you will build up. Metallic taste: your pan is not properly seasoned, and you cooked acidic ingredients in it. Season the pan.

I read reviews that it rust, well yes it will rust if you don't take care of it. You cannot put it away wet and expect IRON to not rust. If you clean it, season it and make sure its dry it will not rust. I have been using this method for years with no issue. There are many videos online to help guide you.

The bottom is not smooth like traditional cast iron, it has a almost rough like texture making it not as good as a old cast iron pan with a smooth bottom.

It is a nice pan, however, due to the natural surface (i.e. is not enamelled or "smoothed" in any way), the pan is difficult to clean. The unevenness of the dish sponges/paper towels pulls the "suckers" out. So it must be washed by hand (or gently with a sponge) and dried by "touching" the napkin, not by rubbing. In addition, a higher weight must be taken into account. It's definitely not for one-handed handling (especially when you fill the pan). In addition, the handles also warm up after prolonged cooking. So you need to use oven mitts.

I've been using it for about a year, it's been doing steadily very well. But I started to notice the release of the aftertaste more intensely and I don't want to risk my health any longer, so it goes in the trash. This problem has been there from the beginning and has not changed in any way, you don't have to worry about anything getting worse with her over time. I have no idea if this cast iron is poor quality or if this is a problem with all cast iron. Anyway, I switched to stainless steel (no nickel, be careful with your choice) and maximum satisfaction.
