I did a fairly thorough research on the Omen 35L before buying it, but even so, the build surprised me in several ways. The build itself is really very good, the only thing I would criticize is a bit unclear cable management behind the right side panel, but considering the mass of cabling it is still completely without problems. The noise is generally very low, its biggest source is the CPU cooler, but even that is perfectly normal, you just know about it under heavy load. TJmax won't reach prime95 in my case either, so no need to address it. The RTX 5070 is even better, it just doesn't melt even when it's heavily loaded. CASE is refined design elegance. It's engaging, but it doesn't scream because of its lack of identity, because it has it clearly defined. Very nice. Compatibility with Linux is also very good and it is one of the conditions for my use. F43 Live without any intervention has everything working immediately: Ethernet, Wifi, Bluetooth, NVMe, and even the very problematic RTX 5070 now has problem-free output without Nvidia drivers, which of course must be installed later. For this reason, it's also nice that Secure Boot is disableableable inBIOS, eliminating the need to manually sign and import the Nvidia key. And the whole system is really completely standard internally, so everything you need can be replaced later, no more HP specific parts, which was another of my conditions. I've been putting together hardware for over a quarter of a century, so pre-build is pretty unusual for me, but it was a good choice. At that price (with Alzadny) it wouldn't be much cheaper even component-wise, and it's a unit that's just plain good. And with a 3-year warranty. HP has improved a lot, so keep it up. Dell may have no choice but to adapt to the situation.
Extremely quiet and cools the CPU without problems even under very high load
RTX 5070 is practically cold and lukewarm under load
The impression of the build is very good and the overall solution is logical
Unlike the older HP office, here the BIOS is not only much better, but also much more logical than it is generally presented in boards of Taiwanese provenance
There is enough power for normal use, and for gaming as well. 64GB saves SSD and is ideal for working with multiple virtual OSes
1KW PSU is also suitable for the future, for this particular build it is too much
Standard components, no more HP specific parts
The memory only runs at 3600Mhz by default, just enable it in BIOS at 5200
Only one bay for a 3.5" drive, which can accommodate a 2.5 SSD without reduction, but in that case it is wise to use a SATA power extension with a flat end
As usual nowadays, there is no HDD ice
Absence of 5.25" bay
