My second NUKI lock. This one is top-notch!
Auto-unlock works reliably, it's just a bit limited with Xiaomi HyperOS (see cons).
Compared to older NUKI locks, the unlocking speed is amazing.
A great app with simple and comprehensive settings, like automatic locking, scheduled locking at a certain time and date, etc.
Multiple ways to unlock. A classic key for the older generation, a fob for younger children, and phone unlocking for tech enthusiasts.
Door opening control with remote access.
After purchasing the Door sensor, you can also monitor whether the door is open or closed.
Auto-unlock has limited functionality with XIAOMI phones (on HYPER OS versions). You have to wake the screen, which means you have to take the phone out of your pocket. To save battery, the phone temporarily closes the running app. Even after setting all permissions to not close the app, it still doesn't work.
The lock cylinder set only comes with three keys! The previous set (which had to be bought separately) had five keys. If you want to give keys to your parents, it's a problem. Getting more keys made in the Czech Republic is impossible! You can easily order them on the NUKI website, but the price for one key including delivery is 1,000 CZK! The older version of the cylinder from the Swiss company M and C cannot be re-keyed to this new one from the same manufacturer!
If you have a second entrance to your flat/house through the garden, you need to manually deactivate Auto Unlock, because your front door will automatically open when your phone and the Nuki lock connect via Bluetooth. It can't determine the direction you're approaching the lock from.
If you live in a block of flats, you'll usually need to use a key to unlock the main entrance anyway.
