Good camera for the money, but a shame for the missing tripod thread. Once you put the camera in the frame, you can't get power. You can't find the frame with the power cap open. The only option is to dismantle the door. Which is pretty drastic considering the waterproofing.

This would-be outdoor camera was the worst purchase I've made in the last few years. Since we use the camera once a year on vacation, I didn't want to invest in a Gopro and it was a mistake. Although the camera looks solid at first glance, it is not. The material is hopefully scratchable. Menus and sounds feel cheap at first switch on. The display is almost impossible to operate underwater and only the hardware buttons work. After 4 hours in the charger, the camera reported the battery in the red numbers upon arrival for the trip. She was filming, but we were just waiting for her to shut down. The worst thing about the camera is that it left after two days and about 30 minutes of filming on our three-week vacation. When snorkelling to a maximum depth of 2-3 metres, water probably flowed into it. After arriving at the hotel, the lentils became foggy and even though we put them in rice overnight and the lentils dried out, they didn't turn on in the morning and after about an hour the lentils became foggy again. I definitely do not recommend the Niceboy Vega camera. It's a rebranded Chinese piece of crap.
