For 1200 I didn't expect miracles, but to have this thing play basically the same as my mobile, only louder, surprised me very unpleasantly. For kids to play, the speaker will be good - it flashes, it sounds, they won't want more. But if you want a reasonable listening experience, avoid this thing because the sound is tragic.
stupid flashing can be switched off
thanks to the carabiner, it can be attached to the back of the head and you can use it as an improvised flail - it will probably work better as a speaker than as a loudspeaker
overall processing is not bad

zero bass, sound is veiled as from a metal bucket
the sound quality is similar to a mobile phone, just turned up loud
the on, off and steaming sounds cannot be turned off, they are loud and annoying (firmware update reduces the volume of these sounds but not by much)
