The water can only be heated via the app, so you can't heat the water below 100°C without your phone. (So if your phone is dead and you want to have green tea - you can't). I don't know if it's just a defect in my piece or a problem with the whole series, I've claimed it, so I'll see.
It has the potential of a smart kettle, but the functions are rather limiting for the user (especially the non-functional temperature control): )

A huge disadvantage that makes it impossible for me to use the kettle normally is that the kettle does not switch off immediately after it is cooked but only after about 20 seconds of cooking.
