The steel is low-budget, but you can live with that – it's not that bad. What's absolutely terrible, though, is the quality of the grind. It won't cut into the material. After regrinding, it can be used without any problems – but you'll need to spend an hour or two on it or send it off to a professional sharpener.
The geometry of the grind is truly terrible.
