I chose the product based on its specifications. I'm testing it now. So far, it looks OK. I'm giving it stars based on my rating of the product at this price point. That's what reviews are for. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by Alza. I ordered a new product. When I was collecting the parcel from the AlzaBox, I was surprised that the box was missing its wrapping and wasn't sealed in any way. It was as if it had already been opened. I opened it right in front of the AlzaBox and quickly checked the contents (there was a camera visible on the AlzaBox, so maybe my check was recorded). The goods looked undamaged at first glance, so I took them home with the feeling that someone had already used the router. After turning it on, instead of the web page for setting a new password (which is how this router behaves when new), a surprise was waiting for me. The router already had a password set. So my feeling was correct. Someone had already used the router – at the very least, they must have turned it on and fiddled with its settings (which requires setting a password). Who knows what else they did with the item. I've ordered a lot of things from Alza over the years. And it has happened before that an item arrived unsealed. But this time, the 'culprit' didn't return the goods to the original settings and left it password-protected. Luckily, a factory reset also removes the password. The router seems to be functional. So I'll keep it. I'm going to replace the original firmware with OpenWRT anyway. But Alza, I ordered a new item - not a used one!
