Due to the not perfectly balanced blades, it shakes slightly even at first speed. At the lowest speeds, you can also hear the electronics or engine whistling. So falling asleep at the fan is probably possible, but at the declared 13 decibels of noise it should be inaudible and unfortunately it is not.
