does not fit Saeco incanto HD8918, although it is in the specification "for all SAECO models", it can be fitted but when you replace it again you will find that the sieve in the bottom of the filter is punctured and part of the contents spills into the water tank

It is hard to describe the cons or pros. The water flows through it and the coffee machine works. Whether it is also filtered and in what quality, one can only guess. And he is not even able to judge the difference in functionality between this filter and the original Saeco filter (Brita), which is significantly more expensive.
