This is a product that Alza really shouldn’t be selling – essentially, you can’t attach the lid to the base using the ring. I refuse to use a hammer on something new.

after a few years, the rubber seal goes (swells) and needs to be replaced
when putting the hoop on, a lot of force (mallet) is needed to make the hoop really fit and tighten and close.
After an hour and a half of futile efforts, the neighbour finally brought a 2 cm longer tightening screw, which easily solved everything - it was then easily removed. In my opinion, should be straight supply a longer screw to tighten, would make it much easier to mount the filtration
