It is not compatible with the Bosch Smart System (display of cadence, speed, bike battery and assist data). Downloading the maps takes an incredibly long time, the maps aren’t very good quality, and I haven’t yet managed to figure out how to upload other maps.
So far, it’s looking good – it has features just like the Garmin, which is considerably more expensive.
The bell is activated directly via a button (the Garmin 1050 does this via the screen and an icon – which is practically unusable).
Instant location tracking.

I bought this cycle computer with navigation mainly so that I could follow routes I’d exported in GPX format beforehand. It does this brilliantly for me; if you happen to stray from the route, it tries to get you back on track by re-planning, and it does so brilliantly. That’s why I bought it, and it lived up to my expectations. However, if you want to use your computer for basic navigation from point A to point B, it will mostly guide you along the road, even if, for example, you’re riding on a cycle path; the sat-nav can see the cycle path, but it won’t guide you along it; at the first opportunity, it’ll steer you back onto the road. Connecting the device to the phone went smoothly, but it only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi – you need to bear this in mind when pairing it for the first time. Furthermore, the download of the offline map of the whole of the Czech Republic went smoothly and was fairly quick. I find the battery life to be adequate; after a 6-hour ride whilst tracking my route, I still had 47% battery left, even with the LED lights switched on. GPS positioning is almost instantaneous. In my opinion, it’s a really good cycle computer; the only thing it needs is better navigation planning.
For me, one of the great features is the doorbell, which you can hear clearly
Navigation using a pre-loaded GPX file works brilliantly
The pack includes a transparent silicone case and a screen protector
super processing quality
display readability in direct sunlight, even when wearing sunglasses
When set to ‘navigation only’, the device prioritises only main roads, or roads intended primarily for cars

After a few rides, I have to say that the Magene C706 has pleasantly surprised me. The navigation is fast, clear and offers a very wide range of customisation options. I appreciate the high-quality display, the long battery life and the well-designed user interface overall. The climb display (ClimbPro) also works very well; I consider it one of the device’s strongest features. On longer rides, it’s really useful to have an overview of the route’s profile. A nice bonus is the built-in electronic bell, which is surprisingly loud and, for everyday use, can replace a traditional mechanical bell on the handlebars. I also consider active development to be a major plus. Magene releases firmware updates fairly frequently and is constantly fixing bugs and adding new features. Compared with the older C606, I was also pleased with the more up-to-date map data, which shows cycle paths more clearly and includes other recent changes to the infrastructure. However, the reason for returning the device was its compatibility with my Garmin Varia 820 radar. The pairing process itself went smoothly and the radar worked correctly; unfortunately, though, there were no audible alerts for approaching vehicles. The visual warnings worked, but for me, the audible alerts are one of the most important safety features of the radar. Given that Magene regularly updates its firmware, I believe this may be an issue that will be resolved in the future. At the time of writing this review, however, the fix was still not available, so I eventually decided to return the C706 and switch to the Garmin Edge 850, which, when paired with the Varia 820, offers full support for all features without compromise. If you don’t use the radar, or if visual alerts are sufficient for you, I consider the Magene C706 to be a very well-designed sat-nav with excellent value for money. If it weren’t for the problem with the radar’s audible warning, I’d probably have kept it.
built-in electronic doorbell
high-quality map data, including contour lines
ClimbPro is really clever
The navigation is quick and clear
frequent firmware updates

I can recommend it; I was worried because some people had said you couldn’t hear the voice during navigation, but you can hear it clearly enough. Downloading from mapy.com works fine, but it takes a while over Bluetooth and a white screen pops up, so don’t panic like I did 😃. It shows the hills well, which I really enjoy😉 Otherwise, there isn’t much to see on the map, but I’m just cycling along the road, so I don’t need it to be all that detailed
I don't know

I’d like to share my experience after using the Magene C706 for a month. The main issues to watch out for: Wi-Fi issues (bands and channels): The device does not support 5G networks and has issues with European Wi-Fi channels (it only recognises Asian/American settings). If your router automatically switches to channel 12 or 13, your computer won’t be able to find the network at all. Because of this, I had to completely reconfigure my home router to 2G and a different channel. If you don't know this, you won't be able to connect to the Wi-Fi at all. Accidental data loss and factory reset: After about a month of use, the computer reset itself to factory settings when it was switched on. The entire user profile has been deleted in the OnelapFit companion app. All my training data, maps and screen settings were gone. I found out on online forums that several users are experiencing this problem. The result is a lot of time wasted optimising my computer and account, and I’ve got nothing to show for it. Magene support – they told me to record a video showing the problem: -) Before making a purchase, do your research on this issue and weigh up the risks. Magene may offer great value for money and work well, but the ecosystem isn't up to scratch.
It's fine as a device
My entire profile was deleted following an update to their Onelapfit app.

Tested on 2 journeys so far. Before the C706, I had an ancient Wahoo Element Bolt v1, and this is like switching from a Trabant to a Bentley
price
clear display
USB-C charging port
contents of the package
price-performance ratio
"GPS acquisition"
navigation
a bit of a faff to set up and pair with your phone
It’s not a Garmin, so the purists will give you a hard time

At the races my wahoo flew away at high speed after hitting a hole. I never found him after that. I didn't want to pay that much money for a Garmin or the new wahoo, so the magene was the obvious choice. I am extremely satisfied. Loading speed, control, settings in the app of each screen is better clearer than wahoo. I am simply extremely satisfied. I recommend it to everyone who doesn't want to pay ten thousand crowns for a cycling computer. Magene has everything you need. I personally just need watts, heart rate, speed, incline and navigation. maybe the c606 would be enough for me, but I'll make good use of the offline climb pro, especially at races. And the only thing - is that the magene brand is not as famous as Garmin and Wahoo, so some smartasses may make stupid comments. but for me TOP!
Speed
readability, overview, ease of use
design, light ring
it's not a Garmin and die-hard Garminians will laugh at you

A very decent attempt at a quality product. Unfortunately, the placement of the speaker absolutely kills all other advantages. After five rides, I had to return the cyclocomputer.
Super navigation, route recalculation if you swerve somewhere. Voice instructions in Czech.
System in Czech
Nice display, much larger than the Garmin Edge 540
The speaker placement is incomprehensibly in the clamping mechanism on the bracket. This mutes the entire audio output
The radar indication on the display is very much just a tiny arrow at the edge of the display, and combined with the muffled speaker, the warning is often hard to hear.
