I bought this for use in a garage door operator. In this setup, the light is powered directly from a 24V AC transformer. In this configuration, the LED bulb flickers unpleasantly. It will probably work well with a DC power supply, for example in a car.
Probably OK for standard use in the car.
Doesn't work on AC voltage (it flickers).
