The first hot coffee I made in this cup resulted in the cup exploding on me with boiling coffee. The lack of a hole to depressurize the cup IS ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL. If not the danger of using this cup - It would be a great value for money.

3 so far. Keeps warm, but. I filled it, put it in my backpack, ran down the stairs and the cup exploded in my front pocket. The bottom stayed fixed but the cap blew off. I think next time I'll try to run with a cup in my hand and put it in my backpack at the bottom of the stairs. PS: Screwed up and shut down it was, but it didn't help prevent a caffeine explosion.
