I would rate the product at 5 stars in terms of performance. But when I go to bed, the speakers are on, I wake up in the morning and they're off. Sometimes they turn on right away, but sometimes I have to unplug them and plug them in, otherwise they just won't turn on which is quite annoying.

I've had these speakers for five years and in that time I've had four complaints and am about to have a fifth. Every complaint ended with a replacement and I was able to test five identical and yet completely different speaker systems. Each one played a little differently in volume, but they all started to crackle after a while and gradually the sound from the front speakers stopped. I should note that I have never had them turned up to max (my head would probably fly off) and yet after a year they start to crackle. Not one set but five different ones and all with the same problem. I like movies and music and I have to say they have a wonderful sound and powerful bass, I'm not a complete audiophile and I'm sure there are many people who will describe many shortcomings, but I have always been satisfied. Except they are speakers for a year with daily use. I'm done with them now, I'm sorry but I don't want them anymore and I don't recommend them.

Disney plus HBO max to the tv primarily only plays the best stream according to the equipment of the TV which in the new tv Philips android tv is Dolby Atmos and you can not disable it in the settings of the tv or Disney plus or HBO max Dolby Atmos and leave only Dolby digital. ( it only allows Google Chromecast devices with Google tv and maybe some android tv boxes )
When playing movies on HBO max or Disney plus which are supposed to be in Dolby digital 5.1 on android tv Philips nedetekuji speakers surround sound 5.1 Dolby digital via optical input but play only stereo due to the implementation of Dolby Atmos which is designed to connect via HDMI not optically cabel

I bought the Genius SW-HF 5.1 as a replacement as I needed to play with the digital input. I found the sound from the Genius speakers to be better. So I used a Logitech subwoofer with digital inputs and Genius speakers.

It sounds great, I might just recommend buying it in a package with an optical cable and longer cables for the rear speakers. But that's just such a small thing, as it is a computer speaker and not a TV so what would you expect. I'm just waiting for my neighbour to ring to see if I've gone mad. Star Wars will never be the same as it was before the sound system
