Logitech is obviously cooking the soup on its own product and incompatibility is a reward for using multiple Logitech peripherals for years.
To a laptop or PC with BT (not standard) ok.
The "MX Anywhere 3S" is incompatible with the Logitech Unifying receiver, while the previous generation "MX Anywhere" is (here the receiver is also included).
Necessity to buy a "newer" Bolt receiver (extra 400 crowns, not included). This item is not offered by Alza or most other stores.
I returned the mouse because it is unusable on a Mac with M1. Not recommended.

on mac with m1 stuttering - even installing logi options+ software didn't help (it's better with software, but there is still obvious stuttering)
necessity to use logi options+ software (at least on mac with m1 - without software it is not usable at all)
when you want to scroll fast but accurately, your mouse switches to ultra fast scroll and you lose accuracy - so automatic scroll mode switching works just fine
