I bought the Logitech Marathon M705 mouse for the third time overall. Truth be told, I haven't found a better mouse that fits my hand better yet. The laser scanner is perfect, with a fast enough response for me to play even action games, the programmable buttons are perfect too, which can be assigned a global behaviour function or set a function only for a specific application, the battery life is excellent and with Energizer lithium batteries (I recommend them because besides the durability they are also significantly lighter than alkaline batteries) I lasted four years. And why did I buy it three times? The only negative of this mouse is probably the rather poor quality OMRON switches, after about 4-5 years of use the switch under the left button is clicking out. I have tried a few times to fix the switches, first by straightening the flipper, which succeeded and the mouse can work again for half a year, but then the contact flipper breaks for good. Then I ordered the switches from China and tried to solder them, but the mouse did not work anymore. I tried to work with other mice for a while, but after 2-3 months at most I came back to this M705 again. I just couldn't get used to another mouse, because the bar was set high and no other mouse could even come close to its ergonomics and behaviour. The delivery itself was fine, ordered through Alza Box, where I picked it up. Except that when ordering, the green grinning motherf*cker put batteries in my cart without my knowledge, saying that they were not included in the mouse package. Which is of course silly, there are alkaline Duracell batteries included, which I replaced with the aforementioned lithium batteries anyway. Fortunately I noticed this ploy, dare I say lying to the customer, and threw the batteries out of the cart before payment, I wonder if it's worth it for Alza to lie to their customers like that for a few cents earned on batteries. But whatever, everyone envisions their business differently, right? Mouse perfect, after 5 years I'm buying again: ) And I recommend it to anyone looking for an ergonomic, reliable mouse with five programmable button settings. You just have to accept that its lifetime is limited depending on the intensity of use. To me, however, it is worth the money, as I have found out more than once when trying to work with other mice.
