A flat-out false description: "the steel core is vinyl coated". The dumbbell is made of some kind of plastic and is filled with sand. Another major problem is that after weighing on a precision kitchen scale, one is 2.79kg and the other 3.08pcs. The 10% difference in weight is really noticeable. We are definitely returning the dumbbells - poor quality product, definitely do not recommend.
