He's doing what he's supposed to do: is a gymnastic ball.
Please note that you need to have a pump in it to inflate it (inflating the ball with your mouth means breathing moisture into it and it will start to mold from the inside). LifeFit offers a small hand pump for a few bucks, but it's useless and breaks right away. A bicycle inflator or mattress pump will do the trick.
