We bought it mainly because of its A energy rating. The annual consumption is only 112 kWh. Nowadays, it's a great feeling to know that something this big basically runs for just a few quid. Genuinely quiet. We have an open-plan kitchen and living room and we don't hear the fridge at all. It occasionally purrs quietly, but it's not distracting, even when watching TV in the evening. Cleaning it, however, is a real pain. Taking out the internal glass shelves or the big plastic vegetable drawers is a terrible puzzle. You have to open the fridge door all the way (more than a right angle), otherwise the plastic parts scrape against the seal and you risk tearing it off. :-)
Despite these little flaws, I would invest in the most efficient A-rated class again. The fridge cools perfectly, is silent, and saves money. :-)
