We have had this LG washing machine for about a month. So far, we are quite satisfied. The drum is really big, with well-shaped lifters (clothes don't get caught on top of them after washing like on our previous machine). Opening the drum door is a bit difficult (large lever); we have definitely had a washing machine with an easier opening mechanism before. When we lose our strength as we get older, we might not even be able to get into the washing machine. We use a spin speed of maximum 1,000rpm, which is sufficient, but also because 1,200rpm simply cannot be used; the technician levelled the feet of the washing machine and it still shakes and has a tendency to walk. The spanner for adjusting the height of the feet is not included in the box, so the technician who installed it kindly gave us his own. Finally, we must mention the noises the washing machine makes. We were prepared for a direct-drive motor machine to sound different from a conventional belt-driven one, but we weren't prepared enough. The noises are indeed very different, and we have to agree with other reviewers that they are quite atypical for a washing machine – such as loud clicking, jetting, or whistling, which at times sounds not unlike the deep tone of a dentist's drill. Water remains in the detergent drawer after the wash is finished.
We are happy with it so far, the drum design is interesting. Spinning at 1000rpm is plenty.
Overall, we like it.
It makes strange noises when spinning.
Opening the drum door is a bit stiff. There is water left in the powder dispenser after the wash is finished.

One of the few washing machines that has a large capacity while maintaining a small size. Washes brilliantly, nothing to complain about.
The drum size for a washing machine of this size
Can the door be removed when placing it in tight spaces?
Original sound effects
With a very small amount of laundry in the machine, it says it will finish in 3 minutes, but in reality, it takes much longer.

Can't get it to work at all, the drum hits the back wall really loudly. It's impossible to wash anything.

When I was choosing a new washing machine, I knew straight away I wanted an LG, for the simple reason that it has a hose for draining excess water when cleaning the filter. For me, that's a huge advantage. The washing machine looks beautiful and is high quality too. It has a choice of many programmes and the app offers even more. A great buy in my opinion.
