I did not expect to be able to take handheld photos or observe the stars and the moon with this telescope. But the reality is much worse! The binocular itself, without the use of digital photo functions, is rather average to below average, it does not impress. It doesn't match the price. The plastic controls look cheap. The ability to take *quality* photos and videos would perhaps justify the price. if he was equipped with one.
What is absolutely tragic, however, is the quality of the photos. The software was probably taken from the cheapest car camera. Possibility to set shutter or exposure time zero. (EV correction is possible. ) So shooting in non-ideal lighting conditions is almost unnecessary. Even with a tripod and a self-timer the photos don't look usable. The ability to set the resolution of the resulting photos to 48MP is completely inadequate to the non-capabilities of the device. I attach a 20MP photo and a crop from it, a crop from a 48MP photo and also a sample of the lowest resolution 2048x1536, where the quality and sharpness of the image is also low. (All taken with a tripod, with exposure delay. ) The fact that the 20MPix photos from the device are only 0.5-1.5 MB is also a testament to the quality (The device generates: JPEG, quality: 90, subsampling ON (2x2)). For illustration and photo of the Moon.
Also, the video quality is equivalent to the cheapest car camera. Digital zoom is completely unnecessary.
Combination of binoculars and "camera"
Tripod mounting thread
The image quality is very, very poor
HW and SW sensing parts look like from a 500 CZK car camera.
For shooting darker scenes or the moon, unusable even with a tripod and self-timer
What you see in the telescope and what is photographed/recorded is cropped differently.
Absolutely unnecessarily high resolution of photos, which does not correspond to the (in)quality of optics and sensor.
The quality of the image itself in the eyepieces, without the use of digital functions is average to below average, chromatic defects.
