I already had the previous Yoga 7 2in1 model. So I knew what I was getting into and just upgraded after 3 years.
The disappointment for me is the battery. Reviews generally praise the Core Utlra for its endurance, also reviews on this laptop praise the endurance, the manufacturer states up to 19hours.
I get around 5hrs of office work in reality. Even worse when playing a game or HD movie. I've had it for about a month, I believed that it would somehow sit (or that the time shown in win is not correctly estimated), but alas.
In truth, it's such a big "mismatch with the advertised parameter" for me that I'm wondering if that's grounds for a return.
At first glance, the laptop is nice with a 120Hz OLED display that is flipped and can be used as a tablet with the stylus that is included. I often use it in "A" mode as a third monitor to the PC. The laptop is quiet and runs quite well during normal work (internet, Word, media), although I have noticed a few glitches. The keyboard is perfect to type on, the backlight is just right, it doesn't disturb or reflect on the display. On the other hand, the big disappointment is the battery, which lasts an average of 4-5 hours during normal work. As soon as you start doing something, the flashlight disappears before your eyes, and I mean, for example. like Affinity, PowerBI, Visual studio Code, just a bit more demanding stuff, so the battery lasts about 2-3 hours. To not completely criticize it, if you reduce the brightness to the minimum and just look at the desktop, it lasts about 9 hours (this is indicated by the status bar). It gets hotter as you work, but that's what you expect with this size. What drives me crazy is the constant squeaking and crunching of the aluminum "chassis" as you touch the laptop or lean your hand on it, it just squeaks/crunches etc., the workmanship is miserable even though it doesn't look it at first glance and I didn't notice it right away when I looked at it in the showroom. I was still surprised by the ram usage, where after the initial boot, where nothing was installed, the memory was and is still at 80-90%. Unfortunately I missed the 14 day return period, so I'm out of luck, I can't recommend the laptop at all. Maybe ASUS would be a better choice or pay more for a Surfacebook.
