Considering the price range, an excellent laptop for everyday work. Even the base 12th gen i3 provides tremendous performance, the keyboard is great, you can upgrade the RAM and SSD. Unlike its predecessor, the E490 doesn't suffer from coil whine (I think it's because the heatsink also covers the VRM) and I was pleasantly surprised by the camera with the ability to log into windows with your face. There are some compromises (it heats up and hums a lot under load, there's only one USB-C port, but it's thunderbolt, battery life isn't the best and the display is quite dark, so forget about working in the sun), but given the price they're forgivable.
