When I bought the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1, it was supposed to be a replacement for our outdated laptops from my student years. Such a versatile device for browsing the internet and something to watch movies/series on until the kids make us buy a TV. The metal construction gives me confidence that it will survive a fall, which comes in handy when I'm moving it between places and a youngster gets on it now and then. We'll see how it lives up to the MIL certifications in the description. The OLED display is just great for work and movies. The colors are vivid, plus it's touchscreen. Too bad it's shiny. Also worth mentioning is the ability to use the ntb as a tablet and stylus in the package (though really on a AAA flashlight? In the 21st century? ) The keyboard is okay, for some email, why not, on my business one I have a better, slightly more confident grip, but there it makes a difference. The battery lasts me a whole day, great, but I wouldn't put my hand in the fire for the claimed 20 hours. The performance is sufficient for the intended use, I didn't notice any overclocking and 95% of the time it is completely silent, a big difference from the previous Intel/AMD experience. I haven't used the AI features much yet, the copilot on the button is fine, but deeper integration is hampered by the Czech language. I'm genuinely curious about the photo memory. What froze is the sound system,2W speakers are just not enough, Lenovo is trying to improve it with software for 3D sound, but the effect is not quite convincing, the whole thing sounds strange, unnatural. I also found that I can't charge it from a 45W power bank, which my previous laptop could. And the camera could support Windows Hello, because the fingerprint reader is a fool's errand, it works about one attempt out of 3. Overall, though, I'm happy with the Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1. For the price of around 20 thousand it fulfilled what I wanted from it and I believe it will serve for some time. The minor drawbacks were balanced by a beautiful display and an absolutely incredible combination of performance and running silence. That alone is worth a try. Anyway, whoever is looking for the ideal probably has to put a little pressure on the cash register.
The metal construction ensures durability during transportation.
OLED display with vivid colours and touch function.
Comfortable keyboard, suitable for casual typing.
The battery lasts all day.
Convertibility to tablet and stylus in the package.
Quiet operation and sufficient power for normal use.
Weak 2W speakers.
3D audio software is not very efficient.
Picky about the source
The camera does not support Windows Hello
The fingerprint reader does what it wants

It's my second lenovo ntb, idepad version with touch screen. I have to say, you can see the evolution. The laptop is well tuned, the screen size is maxed out (minimal bezels) and the all-metal body is great compared to my previous experience with plastic. Finally, the speakers are on the front and not on the back as in the previous variant. I have been testing the ntb for four days and so far I am absolutely satisfied. I must also highlight the Copilot feature, which I was afraid would slow down the system and is not at all recognizable. Being able to use and call up an AI assistant at any job, any time, without ads, is great.
