As I get older, I'm adding new and newer exercises to keep me moving. One of the parts where this roller was supposed to help me is back massage. The material and design of the roller is OK, but the protrusions are quite hard, so the massage ends mostly with bruises. The second problem is the "slipping" of the material on the various pads, so the roller tends to tighten/slip out from under the back. For back massage it would need a similar roller, only the material of the protrusions could be a bit softer and non-slippery
