This is not a defect of the manufacturer or the memory vendor. Unfortunately, HP does not list compatible DDR4 modules, or I was unable to find one. The HP manuals only list the option to upgrade up to 32GB. In the BIOS there is no option to set memory parameters - so it cannot be fixed to the correct values. That only Samsung or Crucial memories are compatible, and only some of them, we learn only from the advice of an "expert" in the HP support forum when we are looking for the cause and solution to the problem with reduced memory frequency.
