I don't know if I had a defective piece or if the flash drive really has such a slow and fluctuating write speed (in which case I probably wouldn't understand the high rating), but I had to eventually return/advertise the drive, unfortunately a flash drive like this is useless to me.

terribly slow and fluctuating write speed
for larger files over 4 GB, half of the time it transferred at normal speed (about 90 MB/s), but the other half of the time it transferred only about 300-700 kB/s (! )
transferring a 5+ GB file took a ridiculously long time, maybe even 10 min - with other (older) USB flash drives I have, transferring such a larger file is a matter of a few tens of seconds at most and basically almost no fluctuations in transfer/write
