I bought Karak recently, Regent now and the shades match 95%, that's a positive. I have conflicting impressions of the expansion itself, at times it seems that it is "too much", the actual wandering is neglected to make the best of every field and at every moment something else is happening. We'll probably do away with teleporting to battle arenas altogether, it's a very annoying mechanism. The new characters are and the antagonists are interesting though. But less is sometimes more.

A great complement to the basic Karak game. We've grown to like her and she's already grown on us a bit. With the new characters and chambers, it's picked up a bit of momentum again. I recommend it to everyone. The only criticism I have of the design is the drawbacks.

We were very disappointed that the reverse side of the cards is a completely different shade than the original game, so when you draw heroes you know which are original and which are new, it can be bypassed by blind draw. However, the same goes for the chambers, so in the chamber stacks you clearly know which ones are from the expansion, which I find a shame. I don't know if it's just some failed series, either the original game or the expansion, or if it's a standard feature.
