If someone just wants a radio for the cottage and to play a few retro CDs, then it's fine, but you won't enjoy playing from a USB with more than 10 tracks on it. A shame, otherwise I would have given it 4.5 stars.
The DAB tuner has pretty decent sensitivity
The sound is what you'd expect for a device of this size.
A huge disappointment regarding USB playback. Although it has a fairly decent LCD which shows plenty of information, for example in DAB mode, USB playback is a nightmare. You can't see the track titles, it just assigns them numbers based on who knows what. It's practically unusable; this is on the level of a cheap car radio from 20 years ago. And it's all down to the manufacturer's software laziness.
Only plays mp3s, doesn't see other formats, doesn't see mp3s in folders. It's really rubbish.
Quite a stupid remote with just arrow keys. It doesn't have separate buttons for radio, CD, etc. So when you're using it, you still have to stand close and look at the display to see what's been set. Practically, only turning it on and off works remotely.
