It works with the standard quick-connect mechanism, so you can simply connect a 3/8" hose, e.g. with a 1/2" hose if you need it for some reason.
The Coupling consists of the Extension Piece itself, on which the hose is fitted, and a screw-in part, which is tightened to fix the hose to the Extension Piece. However, it is impossible to push a standard 3/8" garden hose through the Screw Plug without using a file - the hole is too small.
