It was enough to put the camera on the wooden table once with the lens down and it was done, the scratch was there almost immediately and there is nothing else but to throw the cap away and buy a new one. A bit expensive disposable fun, but in some cases there is simply no other option and protection is needed.

Just put it on the lens, or lick the twig and the cap is gone
After scratching (hairline) unusable, immediately appear glare or smudges in the video
Plastic with a scratch cannot be polished, just throw it away and buy a new one

It seems to me that in the recording the cap is a bit more visible in the blind spots that are counted than with classic uncovered lenses (like a slight optical refraction). But then again, I'd rather have that bug than a dodgy lens.

It sticks out quite a bit from the lens
The rubber cap does not fit completely anymore (it comes off easily)

There could be more adhesive rings in the package. You just don't want to use those protections all the time.
