the battery lasts about 2h in standby, I had to keep the control permanently on charge.
if you leave the display in the sun for a long time, it will turn black, I had the display covered, you only need an LED to see if the camera is recording or not
The controller is compact and well made, and compared to the new version (Insta360 GPS Preview Remote), this one can be charged via USB-C and not via a special charger. However, it currently does not work properly with the Insta360 X4. It only works halfway. When pairing, the X4 finds it, it pairs, but the controller immediately says it' s disconnected, but at least the record button still works. So it is possible to start and stop recording using the remote control, but it is not visible on the remote control, it says AWAKENING CAMERA. However, if the camera is turned off, the controller must be manually paired again when it is turned on. Hopefully an update will fix it.
