I decided to use this as an alternative to a fibreglass window screen. So far, I've replaced it on the balcony doors. Getting it into the original frame was a nightmare and you need to find the right technique. However, the result looks very good and seems to be very resistant to cat claws. :) Despite the effort of installation, I highly recommend it.
Very solid and durable.
The mesh is slightly larger than a fibreglass window screen.
Stiffness, thickness of the wires, difficult to insert into window frames.
You need a sharp pair of scissors to trim it to the desired size, which you'll probably ruin in the process. But maybe there's a suitable pair of pliers or other tools for the job.
The trimmed wires can easily stick into your skin. :)
