Excellent DAC/amp at a reasonable price. XBass is brilliantly implemented - it adds sub-bass without muddying the mids. The Balanced 4.4mm output can also accommodate planar headphones. Full support for Tidal Max quality (24-bit/384kHz) in Exclusive Mode. It's hard to find competition at that price. I don't have any of the problems I'm reading from people here, I don't have to fiddle with the bios and the button is exactly as it should be, no misalignment.

Nice processing of the DAC before you notice the off-set potentiometer knob, such an unsightly fact completely breaks the impression of an otherwise nice processing. I was originally going to claim it before I read that with this unit it is a feature that a lot of these DACs have rather than a defect and that it stems from the design. I don't understand how a manufacturer can put up with delivering something to the market that they know looks bad. I returned and bought another brand.

I wanted to improve the sound of my ATH M50x headphones in some way and this was probably the best choice to make sense for a possible upgrade in the future. I'm not a technical sound guy, but I like detailed sound quality. Really, this thing has moved this parameter up 2 levels for me, especially with the Power Match feature enabled. The sound is now clearer more detailed and overall gave my headphones a rattling boost. Probably the best feature for me is XBass+, which can deepen the bass component without distorting other tones. The only minus I would give for the lack of on/off button, so if you need to turn off the amplifier when the PC is on, you just have to unplug it. And when the PC is turned off, you have to turn off the power to the USB ports in the BIOS so that the amplifier turns off and doesn't light up.
