After assembling dozens and dozens of DIY furniture I can confidently say this is just the worst piece of furniture I assembles. It is poorly manufacture: the measurements are wrong, therefore when you put it together there are small gaps here and there. The holes of the wooden dowels were often too large and the dowel could freely rotate inside and fall out (or maybe the dowels were too small). The screes at the legs were too large and broke the connected wood when screwed inside till the end.
Oh, and the design of the drawers and their screws is one of the worst possible design ever (there could be 10 more functional ways to do it).
At some point I wanted to give up but I continued to assemble it just for the fun to see how worse could it possible be.
It is possible the CNC machine had some issues when producing my own unit (bad luck?), but this level of mistakes are not tolerable.
I hope it will hold few months, but I am not entirely sure about it.
Generally, I would suggest Alza to remove this item from its catalog.
P.S. I won't return it just because I won't even waste the time of disassembling it and ship it back. It is not even worth the time.
