I bought this watch as an upgrade from the Fit 3, but the difference is actually quite small; it can measure your ECG and heart rate, but you don’t really get much use out of those features. The sports features are certainly better developed, which makes it all the more disappointing that the Garmin HRM 600 isn’t working, even though it’s worked perfectly on the Fit 3 from the start and takes brilliant readings, especially when cycling. There are more metrics available specifically for cycling, so we’ll see how it measures them, and I hope an update is released and the connection with the chest strap works properly. Otherwise, making calls is no problem, and the notifications are better than on the Fit 3 – you even get them from apps. The display should be better, but to be honest, I don’t really think so either – I didn’t have any problems with the Fit 3 either. I’m still undecided; the fact that I couldn’t pair the chest strap really put me off, but switching to a different watch in the Health app went smoothly. And there’s one more advantage: I’ve got about five straps and they all fit, so that’s a plus.
