The printer is decently packaged, I especially welcomed the handles on the plastic packaging, by which the printer can be easily pulled out of the box. After unpacking and placing it on the table, I was waiting for the commissioning. For commissioning, you need to have the app downloaded on a mobile phone ( the app did not support my mobile) or a computer that is connected to the wifi network you will be using the printer on. The app guides you nicely through all the steps to get your printer up and running, including setting up the print heads and filling the ink cartridges. Here I would like to highlight the filling system, which is absolutely great and simple and without any dirt on yourself or the surroundings. so far I have printed a few pictures from movies and I was surprised by the speed, now I am looking forward to the next print.

The printer was ordered on Alza and I had it within two days: ) It's beautifully light, easy to take out of the box, after removing the security features and connecting to the network, it connects well to the mobile app, which I have experience with from a previous printer and is one of the things HP excels at. The setup goes without a problem, the connection to WiFi also. handy ink refill via the included bottles, there's plenty of black: D I immediately tried printing via my mobile, it didn't work, ok I didn't put the paper in, my mistake: D First if no problem, we go to the PC, HP Smart found the printer on the network without a problem, so we print. If the tank lasts what it says it will, it's great, although compared to my previous one it can't print both sides automatically, only manually, but not having to buy expensive cartridges is worth it. Overall I rate it very positively, good connection, setup, cheap printing. It doesn't quite cost a few crowns but it definitely pays for itself instead of buying expensive cartridges.

We have long considered buying a colour printer at home. When the HP Smart tank 580 came up for sale, it didn't take long to decide. Ordering, paying for and receiving the printer took perhaps even less time. Opening the box was already on the level of opening Christmas presents. Right on top of the box with print heads and bottles of ink. On the box it says that the included paint is enough for three years of operation and after checking the volume of the included paints, this can be trusted. I was a bit disappointed that there is no USB cable included in addition to the power cord, but all things considered, companies are generally following the trend of not adding cables, and the printer is also wireless, so in many homes there is no need for a cable. The printer's packing was obviously designed by someone who had unpacked lots and lots of packages and knew that it was awfully hard to get everything out of the boxes in the plastic. So they fitted the plastic with handles, and you'd be amazed at how little it helps. And you don't have to worry about the device falling to the ground right from the start. Filling the tanks in the printer was intuitive and without the need for instructions. Not a drop of ink ended up anywhere it shouldn't have, thanks to the interestingly designed bottle overflow mechanism. Setting up the print cartridges already required instructions, but even so, these were not tasks that could not be handled by any literate individual. The instructions are also pictorial and very easy to understand. The printer printed itself a calibration page and flashed the buttons to guide me through the calibration. In addition, when connected to a computer, it immediately loaded into the device list without the need to download drivers or any additional software. It's clear that HP has come a long way in the six years since my last HP AIO printer and has become very user-friendly. Full-colour photo printing in high quality may take longer, but it is balanced by excellent colour reproduction not only on photo paper but also on regular office paper. The printer handled very dark and low-contrast photos well without losing detail. In terms of office capabilities, I have to mention the document copy function, which allows you to copy both sides of a document onto one side of the paper - great for HR departments, insurance companies, and just about anywhere where documents are copied and filed. What I'm a bit disappointed about is that automatic duplex printing is only possible with the higher end HP Smart tank series, but since I rarely need to print double-sided, that wasn't relevant to the purchase decision.

The HP Smart Tank 580 printer is a first for me with ink refills from bottles. It says on the box that it lasts up to three years. I don't want to believe it, but at least with the black one it's possible. Remember how there were always tiny starter cartridges that you used up the day after you bought the printer? You get three 135ml black packs with this printer! And three colored ones, 80ml each. The refill is at least 5 times larger than the regular inks (about 13ml), I don't even comment on the starter. Getting the printer up and running requires not only plugging in print heads that do not contain ink, but also filling the printer with ink. Filling is, to my surprise, a completely clean process. The printer has wifi that broadcasts its own hotspot, but can also add itself as a network device to your home wireless network. To do this, you need either a smartphone or a computer with wifi, through which you can use the app to start the printer - no complicated setup. The only problem was when connecting the printer to a Windows 7 computer connected to the network by cable. I wouldn't blame the printer here, but rather a years-old system installation. There is also a USB port on the back of the printer, unfortunately the cable is not included in the package - then there would be nothing to fault the printer at all. All printer settings are then made either via your phone or PC, where you can permanently set the desired print quality or silent mode - a useful option for the home. If you are considering buying a printer for color printing and/or photo printing, I definitely recommend it. I bought the printer mainly to print photos. The quality is seamless and the replacement ink cartridges are so cheap and huge that it's not even possible and that goes for the original ones too. Especially with the cheap and bulky cartridges, the printer is absolutely great and I am thrilled with it. The price-performance ratio is undoubtedly great, the only minor criticism may be the lack of a USB cable, which has not been in the package with the printer for maybe 10 years. But I'll still lament that he's not a tukabel: -) The printer is perfect for home, office and photo printing with very cheap costs. The purchase price may seem high at first glance, but considering the volume of ink supplied, it is cheap in the end.

Super printer thanks to the tank system. Unfortunately with the absence of automatic duplex printing which I knew before I bought it. For me the printer could be a little cheaper however in terms of quality and price of printing for me unbeatable.

This printer surprised me very much with its easy installation via the HP Smart app, in my case via my mobile phone. The installation can be handled by everyone, as the application guides you step by step. The biggest plus of this printer is the ink refilling, when I just need to refill the color that is currently running out and I do not have to spend a lot of money for the whole cartridge, so I print photos and documents for a minimal price. The print quality of the photos is very good. Printing is quite fast compared to an older HP printer. Another big plus is the Wi-Fi and mobile phone connectivity, so I can print what I need at any time without having to be at the printer. Another interesting feature is the document copying function, where I print a document on one sheet of paper, so I don't have to use more paper than necessary. My overall summary is that the printer is a really good investment for those who want quality, simplicity and most importantly minimal printing costs. I can only recommend it to everyone.

Here we go! It is brought to our attention that the awaited super printer HP Smart Tank 580 has just arrived! Concerns about connecting and installing the printer were replaced by enthusiasm and excitement about the high quality print. This is the very first time we've seen a tank printer and we think it's a very sustainable and affordable technology shift. The ease of connecting and installing the printer with subsequent test printing was not something we had with the previous printer either.
A beautiful, functional printer for every home. the only thing we miss on the printer is the automatic double-sided printing, we always find that we turn it wrong and we can print the odd pages again. But the rich colorfulness of the print exceeded our expectations and made up for the shortcomings in our eyes. I highly recommend it, it's short for TANK!
