A very interesting strategy, theoretically it can be played in solo mode, but it won't be the right one, as the solo mode is made for this game and works great. It's a relatively fast game, sitting for about 30min, but it can be played faster or slower. The game itself contains a scenario book where you have predefined units and maps (8 scenarios in total if I'm not mistaken), but there is also a sandbox/sandbox option, you can also create your own army and your own map, there is a guide that should help you with the selection.
