There isn’t a very good assembly guide, so I’m adding a few notes: - The hoses and most of the components are a lighter shade of grey. You can even get it in black, for example – that would suit us a bit better, but this one isn’t too bad either.
- There are 8 nozzles. The hose (15m in total; we only needed about 10m) is always connected to the nozzle at both ends, which means it can be split into individual sections as required. Apparently, the recommendation is to space the nozzles 60 cm apart. We’ve spaced them 90 cm apart and it seems fine to me.
- A lot of people complain about leaky quick-release couplings on the nozzles. I was worried that I’d run into the same problem. I trimmed it to make the cleanest possible cut, working at right angles with a sharp snap-off knife on a cutting mat. I pushed the tube firmly into the part with the nozzle. I tried two nozzles after fitting them, but despite all that, it was leaking like mad at the joints. I’ve found that you really need to push the tube very firmly into the nozzle attachment; it helps if you twist it slightly in both directions as you do so. Then pull it up slightly, by about 1 mm, and press down firmly again. It then seals perfectly. At the point where it is inserted into the nozzle assembly, the hose is held in place by a ring; by pressing this ring firmly towards the nozzle, the connection can be dismantled relatively easily (by pulling the hose out). If you try to pull the hose out without pressing the ring down, you may damage the seal.
- The final nozzle is sealed off directly at the end of the T-piece with a plug; it won’t work without it.
- A connection to the standard Prague water supply (4–5 bar) will power the Proboz without any problems.
- There is a strainer where the entire assembly connects to the fitting. If you have hard water, are concerned about impurities, etc., you can fit a water softener, a finer filter or similar at the front of the system.
- The metal nozzles themselves can be unscrewed and rinsed, etc. They must be fully tightened during operation. The nozzles are housed in a plastic ball joint. Once the plastic sleeve has been loosened, the nozzle can be easily rotated and adjusted as required (approx. +/-30°) and secured by screwing it back in place. If you unscrew the nozzle holder completely, it can be cleaned again.
