I'm switching from Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s (after 4 years, because of battery life).
For now, I've grown to like this phone, it meets everything I need (I'm not demanding) and I've been choosing it for quite a while to get the most for my money. The phone is fast and does not jam (we'll see after how long the first jams appear, at Xiaomi it was about the turn of 3-4 years), sometimes some bug with unlocking the phone, but that's after the new update, it will be fixed with the next.
Updates are coming frequently in terms of patches. It shoots beautifully, especially in good light, and the AI works wonders with the photos. At night it's worse, a lot of noise is added. Pixel will then be happy to use the night mode itself, during which you have to hold the phone steady for a while. The night mode produces beautiful, noise-free photos. The video is pretty stable.
From the settings, you can then choose whether to shoot in Full HD at 30 or 60 frames, using all lenses.
Or 4K at 60 frames with the main lens, without a wide-angle lens.
Alternatively, 4K at 30 frames main lens and you can seamlessly switch to wide angle as well.
It's just a shame that the wide-angle lens can't handle 4K at 60 frames. The handset for calls is used as a speaker for stereo listening to videos and music, which is why it is also loud enough for calls. You hear beautifully and, above all, clearly. Battery life is for about 2 days.
I got back from work yesterday with about 50% battery, so it definitely lasts all day. As for charging, it's awfully slow.
From 0% to 100% will take you approximately 3-4 hours at a maximum of 18W.
The adaptive charging function is good, which saves and extends battery life (it follows the alarm and recharges to 100% just before the bell rings). That's why I'm not afraid that even in 2, 3 years the phone will have good battery life and still last all day. Losing about 5.8% endurance per year is pretty decent for android phones.
Just a shame about the lack of wireless charging, that's about the only thing that bothers me about this pixel. The phone supports 5G, but it is banned in the Czech Republic by Google, this will hopefully change sometime, but I don't mind with LTE I have no problem. The display is nice, clearly legible, has sufficient resolution and the colors are very good, it's an OLED panel, it's just a pity 60Hz is not higher, but I don't mind that much. For me I can only recommend it, it's a great phone and I hope to change it in another 4-5 years when the update is over.
