decent sound for a few pennies. I originally bought it for occasional music listening and mainly controlling smart home - lights, thermostat, etc. I'm pleasantly surprised. I plan to add another speaker for the stereo to the TV. I haven't decided yet whether it will be the same one or maybe Sonos Era 100, anyway I recommend it.

The audio quality is great but it has so many random issues. It drops connection randomly while my other Nest devices are connected without issues. I have to force reboot it to fix the connection issues. And it's actually closer to my router than my other Nest devices. The advertised features such as pairing multiple Nest Audios for stereo output were also very bugged and were very frustrating to deal with. These can be just due to the Sonos lawsuits which were resolved recently. Bluetooth connection has a very noticeable delay. Especially if you use the stereo pairing mode. It was literally impossible for me to watch videos with it because the lips would not be synced with the audio.

We have both Nest audio and Nest audio mini at home. Mini is more suitable for children's room or bedroom. Nest audio will sound the living room just fine. The sound is perfect - about the same as the Bose Soundlink Flex for comparison, but with much better balanced bass. I am writing this review because I am absolutely satisfied. To make full use of the assistant, one can connect it to Spotify and TuneIn (radio), or to lights (e.g. IKEA), or TV. Of course you need to have wifi. The speaker does not understand Slovak/Czech. This can be a problem. In practice, the assistant does not understand the names of Slovak/Czech songs and radios. I solve this by playing the song on my mobile and "casting" it to the assistant. We use it every day. I can't imagine ever going back to radio or anything else.
