I bought this when It was half price. I thought it could be fun as a cheap solid wood instrument. The ukulele itself was in pretty rough shape. The frets were terriblly sharp to the point that they could, and did break a string and needed immediate filing. I have the toold to do this, but if you are buying this for a beginner I would not recommend it. I was able to fix the issues with it and now I really like the instrument. If you are willing and able to put a bit of work into it, and it is on sale, it could be a nice instrument, but at full price I would definitely get something else.
It has a nice sound once you put some work into it.
It is very pretty to look at.
This had the sharpest fret ends I have ever seen on an instrument.
The fretboard was extremely dry and needed oiling.
There were a lot of finish errors or blemishes.
