I've been using the Mach3 for about 3 years now, I definitely recommend it, before that I've rotated between different disposable razors and cheaper holders and heads, but the comfort of the shave and the quality of the shave with this model more than makes up for the slightly higher price against various unknown brands.
Once in a while I don't shave for about a week and then it was always a "purgatory" to get the growth down, all the previous heads got clogged after the first stroke and had to be flushed with a stream of water. Although the 3 blades of the Mach3 are very close together, they don't get caught even with a beard length of around 5mm, which I was really pleasantly surprised by.
