Parameters in the leaflet good, but it hums so badly that I'm returning it.
Visually nice, they have a mesh and bass, treble volume control from the front. Size and power just right.
In the middle of the volume control, it hums excessively in the high notes. I have to return them for unusability. I'm afraid I didn't read the discussion. I also have a 500 and an 1800 type, no problem there. They say it's a manufacturing defect in the entire series. Alza should have withdrawn them from sale and returned them to the manufacturer long ago. Just pulling postage out of us unnecessarily for returns and wasting time .

Between about 20% - 80% of the volume it hums quite strongly, but really a lot, You need to set it outside this limit and then adjust the volume in the system
Blue led diode as an indicator of switching on at night illuminates the whole room, need something to tape over or turn off the speaker

Frequency response matches the description, bass reproduces even below the claimed 35 hertz
The dual-band coloration on the front is very convenient for quick bass or treble correction, audibly very tangible difference I think is not less than + - 15 dB.
For me there is only one drawback in these speakers that I have discovered it is the white noise that is heard in the pauses between songs from 15% volume and ending at 85%, at 50% volume maximum noise. I solved the problem by steepening the volume level to maximum, adjusting the volume in the computer .

Loud noise in the middle volume level (about 1/3). When they are quiet (1/5 volume) or very loud (over 4/5) they don't fizz, but that's unusable.
Since I came across a similar experience in another review, I decided to return the product.
The sound would probably be satisfactory, but unfortunately there is a lot of noise in the middle volume range.

The only reason I'm not returning the thing is because I took the box to the dumpster right after I unpacked it. I got Bose instead and these are on the shelf. Either I give them to someone, or they go in the dumpster behind the box.
Maybe it's the look.
